Cold and Snowy...

Today it is another cold and snowy day. I am really ready for spring! It is the end of January and soon it will be Ground Hogs Day and then March and then Spring....Yippee!!!

I just finished reading all my blogs that I read on a daily basis and I an uplifted by all the insights, humor and praise from these blogs. I need to play around with this blog and try to list the blogs that I read, like a bloggy roll that I have seen on other blogs.

Oh Help Me!!!

I am trying to link to Menu Planning Monday from the Organizing Junkie and I am a failure! I wish I were more technically advanced but......

Oh well, I really wanted to be entered into the giveaway list on the Organizing Junkie website because I am currently studying the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University. This incorporates the envelope system and I would love to win the giveaway for the N' Stiches Design wallet. I am going to check out her Etsy shop and probably buy one of the wallets. They are really cute and very well designed.

I need to go and try to find out how to link and do other bloggy things so I can be a REAL blogger. LOL

A Zune Giveaway from the Pioneer Woman

A Zune Giveaway from the Pioneer Woman is now on at her website, Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. One of my twin daughters has a Zune and loves it!!! Hopefully, I will win this giveaway and have one for myself.

I have become addicted to my IPod Nano that I received from my family for my birthday. I take a walk everyday and there right in my ear is my favorite walking music. Yesterday while walking, my IPod powered off and it was so hard to continue without the music beat. Oh well, it could have been worse!!!

It's been a long time...

It's been a long time since I have posted on the happenings of the Patton family. Summer is flying by and everyone has been really busy.

It is Saturday and I am sitting here typing this blog as my husband and daughter Amber play golf in a Huston Patterson golf outing. Ashley is off to work at the Decatur Conference Center and has her first wedding to supervise. She is really enjoying her internship and I think she is quite good at it.

Abby and Carl are enjoying a weekend trip of canoeing. They will be coming tomorrow and spending the night before heading back home to Chicago.

As for me, I have been envisioning remodeling my house and oh.... the possibilities.... if only I had unlimited funds!!!

Fall is in the air...

It is almost Thanksgiving, where has this year gone? My daughter was married on October 13 and it was a beautiful wedding. She was a lovely bride along with her handsome husband. I will cherish the memories from that special day for a long time.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, has anyone been following the web blog of The Pioneer Woman Cooks!? She has brined a turkey, cooked a turkey, made gravy and mashed potatoes. It is a great site. Also her other blog Confessions of a Pioneer Woman is a hoot. She is running a contest to name a photo and win a gift card to Williams and Sonoma for kitchen gadgets or whatever strikes your fancy.

I need to go get things done around her so I will check back in sometime in the future.

Another Day...

Today is just another day. Our oldest daughter's wedding is 5 weeks away, yep, count 'em, 5 WEEKS!!! Yikes!!! I just talked to her on the phone and she is very calm and getting very excited about the wedding. What a great daughter!! I must admit, I am very nervous!!! Noting to be nervous about, it's just my nature to be nervous!! I'll post more later...
