It's been awhile...

Well, it has been awhile since I last posted here. We have been busy traveling with Amber and the DePaul softball team.

Keep voting for Amber, she needs your vote everyday. http://www.seniorclassaward.com/vote/softball_2009/

We have traveled to Chicago, Notre Dame, and back to Chicago. Last weekend, DePaul played Univ. of South Florida in Chicago and DePaul won both games. We spent the night at Abby and Carl's townhome and went to church with them on Sunday morning. Their church is a Lutheran Church in Lockport and they had the most adorable puppet show at the end of the service. Abby told me that they are nationally acclaimed with their puppet shows and have won quite a lot of awards. It truly was the cutest! The theme of the puppet show was, "He Arose", with helium ballons that spelled out, He Arose, and a POP of confetti at the end of the show. Scared me half to death, but it was fun! The kids at the service loved it.

After church we went back to Abby and Carl's and by that time Amber and Ashley had arrived from the DePaul campus. We ate a late lunch of Zuppa Toscana Soup, Salad, Easter Ham, Hashbrown Casserole, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, and Asparagus with Hollandaise, Major YUM! Abby then made a dessert of Fresh Strawberries with glaze and cookies. We were all stuffed!

Tim and I left for home on Sunday afternoon and I checked my email. Their were new puppy pictures posted and I had to check them out.

Take a look, here they are:

They are adorable! I emailed a response back to the puppy owners and asked if we would be getting a male or female and if we could find out which puppy we would be getting. We are thinking of names! Hopefully, I will be getting a response soon!

The Obama's new puppy is adorable. Have you seen pictures of the new puppy yet? Tim wrote a letter to the Obama's when they started looking at dog breeds. He told them our story and how we came to have our Portuguese Water Dog, Lexie. (Ashley is very allergic to animals.) So we like to think that the Obama's chose the Portuguese Water Dog because of Tim's letter. Funny, HUH! Funny also for the fact that Tim the Republican wrote a letter to the Democratic new president-elect!!!

Enough for now, have a great day!

Donna
